This item is handcrafted at our workshop in Los Angles using the finest materials available.
LEATHER
– made from English bridle leather from the Wickett & Craig tannery in Pennsylvania
– leather is full grain, vegetable tanned and sourced from US steer hidesHARDWARE
– brass (gold) hardware is all solid brass, no plating
– steel (silver) hardware is a combination of stainless steel (buckles) and nickel plated steel or brass (rivets, stud work) -

Our collars are sized according to your dog’s actual neck size.
For example, a size 10″ – 11″ collar will best fit a dog with an actual neck measurement of 10″ – 11″.

MEASURING YOUR DOG
Measure the center of your dog’s neck with a cloth measuring tape.
We’ll need a snug measurement, so pull the tape right up to your dog’s neck with no slack.
(Basically, it’s like taking your own waist measurement.)
For thick-coated dogs, pull the tape through the coat and down to the dog’s neck.

The collar we received is PERFECT! Huge fan of Wickett & Craig leather. I didn’t even know the purple sage color existed. It is beautiful on our little rescue girl. Big bonus: W&C leather is colorfast since it is dyed during manufacture, not after. Our Maltese mix is obviously white and was in the rain all this week. No color bleeding on her coat. California Collar Co. was the only maker we could find using genuine W&C leather. There are only two tanneries left in America making this quality of leather… Wickett & Craig and Horween. Anything else domestic is cheaply brush dyed, low-quality hides that will not last. Now you know how to get the best American leather. Your welcome. Thank you California Collar Co!
